Chelsea M. Clayton, Esq. is an experienced civil litigation attorney who specializes in drafting motions, writs, and appeals for the Jamison Law Firm, PC.
Ms. Clayton’s practice primarily consists of business litigation, insurance coverage, employment, healthcare, real estate and construction matters. She is committed to excellence and remains a National Black Lawyers Association Top 40 Under 40 attorney.
In 2014, Ms. Clayton graduated summa cum laude from the prestigious Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Being a Pasadena, California native, Ms. Clayton returned home to California to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law with a Graduate Fellowship Award. She was selected to join the esteemed UCLA Law Review after her first year of law school and was subsequently selected to be an Articles Editor.
As an Articles Editor for the UCLA Law Review, Ms. Clayton was responsible for reading hundreds of law review article submissions by professors and legal professionals around the country and the world, and curating content for the UCLA Law Review. After graduating from UCLA School of Law, Ms. Clayton was promptly admitted to the California State Bar in 2017 and began her legal practice.
Before joining the Jamison Law Firm, PC, Ms. Clayton practiced healthcare law at a non-profit located in Los Angeles County, providing direct services and representation to individual clients, as well as engaging in multi-plaintiff impact litigation, in an effort to increase Los Angeles County residents’ access to healthcare. Ms. Clayton has regularly worked with healthcare plans and various state and local regulatory agencies on compliance issues, including California Department of Health Care Services and the Department of Managed Health Care.
In 2019, Ms. Clayton joined a large insurance-defense firm, where she represented insurance companies, corporate employers, and other small to large business entities in insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, employment, and other business litigation matters. Ms. Clayton aggressively defended clients, engaging in multiple phases of civil litigation; and represented clients in Mediation, Arbitration, settlement conferences, and informal settlement negotiations.

Ms. Clayton is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District of California, Central District.
