Cherrisse Woods is an associate in the firm’s Investigation, Compliance and Defense Practice. She received her JD from the DePaul University College of Law in 2015. After law school, Cherrisse began her legal career at the Virgin Islands Department of Justice, where she worked as a criminal prosecutor assigned to the White Collar Crime, Public Corruption, and Special Investigations Division. She has prosecuted cases involving financial fraud and pursuant to the Criminally Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act (CICO).
Cherrisse has also participated in several criminal investigations with local and federal law enforcement agencies that led to the arrests and convictions of perpetrators charged with financial crimes. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and the US Virgin Islands. Cherrisse is a proud member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
