I concentrate my practice in the area of civil litigation at both the trial and appellate levels, with an emphasis on the defense of personal injury, commercial, business torts, insurance and bad faith claims. I am also heavily involved in the firm’s employment and municipal litigation practices, focusing on the defense of municipal and police liability claims. My clients include individuals, local and national businesses, insurers and governmental and law enforcement entities.
I lecture frequently before paralegals, attorneys and local business representatives at professional legal seminars presented by the National Business Institute and the North Carolina Bar Association. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, I am also former law clerk to Judge James A. Wynn of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
I am licensed to practice law in all North Carolina State Courts, the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of North Carolina, and United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit.
