Elysia represents and advises employers in all aspects of employment law. Her experience includes representing employers in state and federal courts and before various administrative agencies in litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, wage and hour violations, and other statutory and common-law claims arising from the employment relationship.
Additionally, Elysia has deep experience counseling clients regarding day-to-day employment decisions and issues, such as employee discipline, terminations, severance, FMLA and other leave laws, disability accommodations, and COVID-19-related workplace concerns. She provides employers with practical and business-forward advice on critical human resources issues, with an emphasis on preventive litigation practices and implementing policies and best practices that avoid workplace disputes and resolve employee relations problems.
Prior to working at Constangy, Elysia practiced in boutique law firms, representing Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurial and family businesses, educational institutions, and public sector employers in a wide range of civil issues, including government and internal investigations, commercial litigation, and labor and employment matters.
