Iman Hart is an Associate at Turner Padget’s Charleston office, where she practices general civil litigation with a focus on workers’ compensation defense. She is a part of the firm’s nationally recognized Workplace Law Group. Iman is licensed in South Carolina, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. A graduate of Kennesaw State University with honors in Political Science and the Charleston School of Law, graduating magna cum laude as a Presidential Honor’s Scholar. During law school, she was an Associate Justice of the Internal Moot Court Competition, a member of the Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Team, and an editor of the Maritime Bulletin.
Iman began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender at the Ninth Judicial Circuit’s Berkeley County Office, managing hundreds of cases and advocating for her clients. She was recognized by the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 as one of the top attorneys in South Carolina and also serves as the founder and Chairman of Type 1 Diabetes Life, a nonprofit dedicated to easing the financial burden of medical supplies for those with T1D and T2D.
