Jennifer Clewis Thomas brings her experience on both sides of the table to help corporate clients and insurers mediate disputes and, if needed, take cases to court. Whether it’s alternative dispute resolution or jury trial, Jennifer’s diverse legal background allows her to see all of a client’s options and find the one that leads to the most practical solution.
Jennifer works with domestic and international businesses and insurers facing a wide range of lawsuits. She’s involved in every step of litigation, from discovery to settlement talks, allowing her to spot strengths in a client’s case and opportunities for resolution before taking on a costly trial. But when mediation isn’t the best course of action, her strong track record of successful trial work leaves her well-prepared to advocate for clients in the courtroom.
Before joining Phelps, Jennifer handled insurance disputes on behalf of plaintiffs, insurance agencies and corporations. This gives her unique insight into both sides’ potential goals and approach to litigation. By working to understand the motivations of everyone involved, she can improve the chances of bringing both sides to agreements that benefit clients.
