Jonathan Berry-Smith is the Executive Director of Admissions at Stanford Law School. In this role, he focuses on the legal developments impacting law school admissions and provides strategic direction on outreach, recruitment, and yield through a race-neutral lens. Prior to joining the Office of Admissions, Mr. Berry-Smith practiced higher education law as University Counsel for Stanford University, and also practiced K-12 law as an associate attorney at Lozano Smith, a public agency law firm that represents school districts throughout California.
Mr. Berry-Smith graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where he received the Golden Bear Achievement Award, presented to the student-athlete with the highest GPA on his or her respective team (Men’s Track and Field). He went on to earn his J.D. from Stanford Law School and his M.A. in Education from the Stanford Graduate School of Education. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
