I'm a seasoned regulatory attorney with years of legal experience in the technology and communications sector. As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), I have substantive knowledge and experience with data privacy and network security matters, as well as extensive experience with regulatory advocacy, compliance, and litigation.
I'm currently a Partner at Verrill Dana, LLP in the Energy, Telecommunications and Natural Resources Group, where I provide regulatory legal counsel, regulatory advocacy, and compliance counseling to telecommunications, broadband, cable, and other technologies operating in complex legal and regulatory environments. Prior to that, I served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Verizon, one of the world's largest providers of technology and communications services. In that role, I led a team of legal and regulatory professionals that represented the company before state regulatory commissions, state attorneys general, and state and federal courts. I also supported regional State Public Policy teams on legislative advocacy and lobbying compliance matters and engaged with experts and outside counsel to achieve cost-effective strategic and defensive litigation outcomes. I also served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for several Verizon-owned entities.
My mission is to leverage my expertise and skills to help clients navigate the evolving legal and regulatory landscape, protect their interests, and achieve their business goals. I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality legal advice and representation, managing and developing teams, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and managing complex and high stakes matters with professionalism and integrity.
