Latisha Bernard Schuenemann is a member of the Barley Snyder Trusts & Estates and Business practice groups. In her trusts and estates practice, she works in elder law in estate and trust administration, as well as guardianships of minors, the incapacitated and special needs individuals.
She holds an LL.M. degree in taxation, and her knowledge of tax law helps the firm’s clients with estate planning and estate and trust administration matters. Latisha also handles a myriad of business transactions, where her experience includes working in entity formation, including for nonprofit, 501(c) organizations. She has also worked with clients in obtaining their liquor licenses.
Latisha is adept at group presentations around the Berks County region and beyond on topics including guardianships, estate administration, the probate process and other topics.
Latisha is highly involved with many nonprofit organizations throughout Berks County and beyond. She is as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s (PBA) Women in the Profession and PBA Minority Bar Committees. She also a member of the bar associations of Philadelphia and Berks County. To supplement her professional work in elder law, she is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Berks County, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys and the Academy of Special Needs Planners.
A Berks County native, Latisha graduated from Reading Central Catholic High School. She has a business degree from Kutztown University, a criminal justice degree from St. Joseph’s University, then earned her law degree and her LL.M. taxation graduate degree from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
