Nicholas Nash is an associate concentrating his practice in commercial litigation, employment litigation, intellectual property litigation, business law, and advising clients in transactional matters.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mr. Nash worked as an associate at a boutique litigation firm located in Downtown Miami where he represented businesses and individuals in civil and commercial matters including business-corporate disputes, contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, fraud claims, negligence claims, collections, asset protection, entity formation, business strategy, corporate transactions, acquisitions and mergers, contract review and preparation, landlord-tenant disputes, employment and labor regulations and litigation, entertainment industry client contract negotiations, management, licensing and distribution agreements, and intellectual property strategy, registration, and rights enforcement.

Mr. Nash received a B.A. in Economics with minor concentrations in Corporate Strategy and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and began his career by earning his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law. During law school, Mr. Nash was a member of the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Society (EASLS) and the Phil Alpha Delta law fraternity and served as the Secretary of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA). Additionally, Mr. Nash interned at a firm specializing in media and entertainment law and spent a term working for the Community Development Clinic assisting small businesses, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organizations with business formation, intellectual property, and transactional matters.

Mr. Nash is active in the community and has assisted in various pro bono legal matters through Legal Services of Greater Miami and Dade Legal Aid and has worked on community engagement initiatives through the ICE Foundation. Mr. Nash also serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for Florida’s 11th Judicial Circuit.
