Mianda Bashala is an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment Group where she helps clients meet their business objectives and minimize liability through the effective application of labor and employment laws. Her practice currently includes a wide range of labor and employment matters.
Mianda represents clients in employment litigation involving various employment claims, including discrimination, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, wage and hour disputes, and a variety of other employment-related claims arising under various federal and state laws, including Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act.
Mianda also represents clients in various labor matters. She has experience arbitrating grievances for unionized employers; representing employers in unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board including labor arbitrations. In addition, Mianda represents clients in responding to administrative charges before the EEOC and other state agencies.
Prior to joining KMK Law, Mianda was adjunct professor and served as labor counsel for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Human Resources Division. Mianda earned her Master of Arts in Human Resources from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business, University of Cincinnati in 2020 and she earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 2005. Mianda earned her B.A. in Political Science in 2002, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts.
