Myles Ashong, an associate in Steptoe LLP’s Investigations and White Collar Defense group, was named to The National Black Lawyers’ “Top 40 under 40” list for 2025. This recognition is given to Black lawyers who have earned reputations for excellence in their respective practice areas.
Myles Ashong represents corporate and individual clients in internal and government-facing investigations and white-collar defense matters.
His experience spans all phases of government enforcement, from pre-indictment investigations and negotiations with government agencies, through trials and appeals. Myles has experience defending clients against a wide range of allegations by state and federal agencies and has also conducted complex domestic and cross-border internal investigations.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Myles served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. As a prosecutor, he conducted several jury trials and attained verdicts in each of them.
