As Chief Executive Officer of the KWH Law Center for Social Justice and Change, I am responsible for helping to ensure the social justice needs of women throughout the South and Southwest are met primarily by engaging pro bono attorneys to use their innovative and creative skills to help find solutions to the Access to Justice that women and their families need. I have been instrumental in establishing CU SAFE, a program that provides financial resources to survivors of domestic violence when they are ready to leave their abuser. In addition to financial resources, the program is designed to collaborate with other domestic violence programs to ensure that survivors of domestic violence have access to the full cadre of systemic resources they will need for their future success. Our goal is to see that no student goes before a disciplinary board without representation and that every person has access to quality, affordable healthcare, and housing. I help ensure that we use an effective, comprehensive applied program of creativity, innovation, and the unique application of the law to provide responsive solutions to problems.
