Patrick concentrates his practice on representing public and private companies, directors and officers, and high net worth individuals in complex business and regulatory litigation matters. Patrick’s areas of focus include antitrust, financial services, auditor defense, investigations, corporate governance, and complex commercial litigation. Through his history of leadership positions in private practice and government - - including being the first African American partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell and Chief Litigation & Ethics Counsel to the New York City Council - - he has gained extensive experience leading aggressive and strategic advocacy for clients in a vast range of industries. Patrick has represented clients in multi-billion dollar transactions before the DOJ, SEC, FTC, and FINRA. He teaches Antitrust Law as an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University School of Law. He has taught Law & Technology at Columbia University, and served as a Guest Lecturer on Non-Profit Governance at Yale’s School of Theater Management. He is a graduate of the New York University School of Law (J.D.), and Harvard College (B.A.). He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.
