Since joining Brown & James in August 2022, Remington has focused primarily in the areas of personal injury, product liability, premises liability, wrongful death, and consumer and business litigation matters. As such, he has quickly built a strong foundation in litigation work. Remington has excelled in taking depositions of plaintiffs, fact-witnesses, and defending depositions of insureds. He has successfully and independently tried multiple small claims trials to completion, receiving several defense verdicts. He has also second-chaired multiple trials where he cross-examined witnesses and argued a plethora of motions across multiple venues in Missouri. Further, Remington has ample experience in arbitration proceedings where claimants have brought a variety of consumer claims.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Remington was raised primarily in West Memphis, Arkansas. He is a proud graduate of both West Memphis High School and Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. In 2022, Remington graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law (SLU) and was admitted to the Missouri Bar. Since graduating from SLU, Remington has been active at his alma mater through his service in SLU Law’s Young Alumni Society and by mentoring students. In 2024, Remington received the prestigious Ronda F. Williams Service Award for his dedication and contributions to SLU’s Black Law Students Association and the Saint Louis legal community.
While Remington cherishes his time in the courtroom, he takes the most pride in his legal drafting. He has successfully and skillfully drafted a multitude of challenging motions to strike experts based on FRCP 26 and Daubert, drafted complex client reports, and memorandums of summary judgment.
Recently, Remington’s hard work resulted in him being named to the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
Beyond litigation, Remington continues his service to the firm by serving on a variety of committees and annually presenting at the firm’s General Defense & Insurance Law Symposiums. In his free time, Remington loves visiting family and friends and enjoys watching professional wrestling.
