Shaina began her legal career as a civil and criminal trial attorney. She worked zealously to achieve the best outcome for her clients. It was as a trial attorney that Shaina first honed her counseling skills. Representing clients at a time when something had gone wrong in their lives allowed Shaina to gain understanding of the changes that would have saved them from court. Shaina turned that hindsight into foresight when she transitioned away from representing clients at trial and turned toward helping them to build successful businesses. She carries that same planning foresight into her work with estate planning clients.
Shaina earned her undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Regional Studies, from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in 2003. She earned her law degree from the Beasley School of Law at Temple University in 2007. She earned a specialized Master of Law degree, an LL.M. in Intellectual Property, from Cardozo Law School at Yeshiva University in 2016.
Originally a New Yorker, Shaina has lived in many wonderful cities in America and abroad including Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Barcelona, Spain. She’s an avid linguist, fluent in Spanish and proficient in French, Portuguese, and Italian.
Experience
Prior to establishing Artisan Law, Shaina was an intellectual property attorney for a Fortune 500 company; a civil litigation attorney in New York; and an assistant defender for the Defender Association of Philadelphia.
