Shyla Bostick works hard and defends her clients in the areas of insurance coverage, premises liability and pre-suit settlement matters.
Born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, Shyla grew up alongside three brothers and two determined, loving, working-class parents. From a young age, she always knew she wanted to be an attorney. Her hard work and dedication earned her an academic scholarship to Howard University, where she graduated with honors with a B.A. in Sociology. After college, Shyla returned to central Illinois to work as a primary school teacher to save money for law school.
Shyla graduated with Pro Bono honors from Florida Coastal School of Law. Soon after graduating law school and taking the bar exam, she returned to central Illinois to care for her parents who were both diagnosed with terminal cancer. This period of her life, though challenging, strengthened her resilience. After their passing, she relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, where she established a solo practice specializing in criminal, family and civil law matters.
Shyla’s experiences have made her a stronger, more empathetic advocate, and she is committed to defending her clients with dedication.
