After graduating, she taught English at Chastain Middle School in Jackson, MS, and coached basketball and volleyball. After working with the Committee on Homeland Security during the summer of her second year as a teacher, she decided to attend law school.

She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. While earning her law license, Attorney Washington served as a member of the Trial Advocacy Board, Dean’s Leadership Council, and held as the winner and semi-finalist in several Moot Court and National Trial Advocacy Competitions. She also worked as a limited practice attorney with the Innocence Project and The United States Attorney's Office in its Northern District under United States Attorney Felicia Adams, in the Criminal Division.

Prior to the start of The Washington Law Firm, PLLC, Attorney Washington worked as Judicial Law Clerk in the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court District. Thereafter, she worked as an associate attorney in private practice where her practice focused primarily on Criminal Defense, state and federal appellate cases, and personal injury litigation.

Attorney Washington is the owner and operator of The Washington Law Firm, PLLC. She now has more than half a decade of experience practicing criminal law and personal injury. She serves as a part-time public defender in the DeSoto County Circuit Courts, and serves as a Criminal Justice Act Panelist in the Northern District of Mississippi Federal Courts, while maintaining her private practice. She previously served as a part-time public defender in Greenville, MS and DeSoto County Youth Courts.

She successfully represents Mississippi residents who are injured in slip-and-falls, car accidents, and truck accidents. She has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars in personal injury cases for her clients and fights to ensure insurance companies pay what each client deserves. She has also successfully litigated § 1983 Civil Rights actions protecting civilian plaintiffs from wrongful arrests and excessive force.

She enjoys serving and educating the community concerning their constitutional rights and criminal defense. She spends her time volunteering to uplift the legal and surrounding communities. When she’s not in the office or in court, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, decorating, playing basketball, reading, and traveling. She strives to put God first in all that she does, and she works diligently to stay committed to her firm’s motto, “Justice … is our Signature. Prepared to Fight!” And, she will fight!
