Attorney Zebie A. Grayson brings a multifaceted background in law and public service, grounded in both academic excellence and hands-on legal experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Southern University Baton Rouge and a Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center. During law school, she served on the editorial board of the Southern University Law Review and authored a notable publication titled "Marshall's Dream Deferred: Almost Four Decades after Brown, the Vestiges of De Jure Segregation Linger as the Implementation Process Continues." Her work has been featured in Westlaw Journals and Law Reviews and cited by esteemed sources including the Encyclopedia of Race, Ethnicity and Society, People’s Lawyers: Crusaders for Justice, and by judges, legal scholars, and professors nationwide.
Attorney Grayson began her legal career as a felony prosecutor under the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative, where she played a key role in coordinating with local, state, and federal law enforcement to effectively prosecute felony firearm offenders. Her efforts helped ensure cases were brought in the proper venue to maximize community safety. She was later appointed to the Public Corruption Team by former Ouachita Parish District Attorney Jerry Jones. Additionally, she has served as a law clerk to both the Honorable Benjamin Jones and the Honorable Carl Van Sharp.
Beyond the courtroom, Attorney Grayson is a published author, sought after public speaker, and thought leader. In 2017, she was a featured panelist at Langston University’s discussion on the “school-to-prison pipeline” and received a Citation of Achievement from the Oklahoma State Legislature for her civic contributions during the Black Wall Street commemoration in Tulsa.
Her most recent publication, Journey to the United States Supreme Court Bar, chronicles her legal journey—from law school to her swearing-in to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court during the inaugural moments of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s tenure. She is also licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana. Attorney Grayson currently resides in Duluth, Georgia, within the Atlanta Metro area, where she practices federal administrative law with the Office of Hearings and Operations.
